| How long does it take to complete the Custom Broker License Exam course?
The average person completes our Customs Broker License course in 6 weeks. A survey of students averaged a total of 22 hours for reading assignments and 24 hours for lectures, for a total of 46 study hours. *The survey was made when the course had 22 Lessons and has now increased to 23 Lessons, so the actual study hours would have to be increased by 3-4 hours to a total of approximately 50 hours.
What is the difference between the Standard Course and the Enhanced Course?
The two course are identical. The only difference is the Enhanced Course includes the Customs Regulations, Directives and supplemental reference material. With the Enhanced Course the only publication you will need to order is the Harmonized Tariff.

Is there homework?
Yes, starting with Lesson 6. Homework consists of questions from previous Custom Broker Exams. At the beginning of each class, we review the homework from the previous lesson plan, explain the answers and tell you where the answer is found in the Regulations.
How long is each DVD Lecture?
It depends on the level of difficulty of the topic. Anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours per Lecture.
What if I need more help?
Registered students receive unlimited use to the Help Desk for one semester. The Help Desk is live and staffed full time from 9:00 - 5:00 EST. Of course, email is available any time. Email questions received after hours and will be answered the next morning by 9:30am EST.
How does your Customs Brokers License Exam course work?
The Custom Broker License Exam course is divided into 23 Lesson Plans. Each Lesson Plan has a reading assignment and a DVD Lecture that matches the same topic. Reading Assignment 1, matches DVD Lecture 1 - Reading Assignment 2, matches DVD Lecture 2, etc .
Just as in any class, you complete a reading assignment prior to entering the classroom. The only difference with this course is that you do not have to commute to class and can study at your own pace.
